Kamisama Buss (Japanese: 神様はじめました, Hepburn: Kamisama Hajimemashita , lit. "I Became a God", "God Began" or "Debut as a Deity") is a Japanese manga serial written and illustrated by Julietta Suzuki and serialized by Hakusensha in the shōjo manga magazine Hana to Yume. The serial is licensed for regional release in Northward America by Viz Media as part of their Shojo Beat imprint. An anime adaptation has been produced by TMS Amusement and directed by Akitaro Daichi and began airing in October 2012. Nanami Momozono dreams of living an boilerplate schoolhouse life just like any other loftier school girl does. - A teenage high school daughter whose father ran out on her considering of his gambling debts, and she was oftentimes mocked for her poverty by her classmates. - Akura-Ou, was an infamous yokai. He worked with Tomoe, wreaking havoc to the world. His body was a mutation, as he could recover from whatever injury no matter how astringent. This resulted in a twisted mind-set that prevented him from understanding the fleeting nature of the globe and the pain when things are cleaved beyond repair. Tomoe worked with him, acting equally the brains of their plans until he fell in love with the human, Yukiji. Tomoe attempted to distance himself and Yukiji from Akura-Oh, who constantly expressed the desire to break Tomoe's "toys". He was eventually led to Yukiji by Yatori and he killed her. - Jirō is currently the fourth chief of Kurama Mount. The tengu leading all other tengu due to his unsurpassed strength and speed. Overall, Ami is a naive merely bubbly and gentle girl, and a very reliable friend. She and Kei afterward find out that Nanami is a god and all the others are yokai but they accept it quite well. Ami besides has a huge crush on Kurama, who has slowly started to render those feelings, but they are not yet in a human relationship.

- Kei is Ami's best friend. After Ami befriends Nanami, she besides begins to run into Nanami as a friend. Among the trio, she is the most mature, but also the nearly hot tempered. She is intuitive and picked up on the fact Nanami liked Tomoe. Kei gave advice to Nanami on how she could get his attention. She is rarely ever seen without her cellphone, on which she constantly sends text letters at a rapid footstep, of which most of the time she does not even carp to glance at the screen.

- Voiced by: Suzuko Mimori (anime), Fumiko Orikasa (Kako-hen) (Japanese); Tia Ballard (English)
- A beautiful woman with long brown hair that Tomoe had a human relationship with in the past (though in reality information technology is Nanami, who time travels through Yukiji'southward trunk on i occasion, and stands in as Yukiji while time traveling in her own body on another, who Tomoe falls in dear with). She barely escaped a yokai attack on her hamlet, of which Tomoe in particular attacked her body when Nanami was in it, causing her a deep hatred for yokai. She is also the ancestor of Nanami, who really helped her when marrying into another family. She subsequently saw Nanami with Tomoe and eventually used their similarities in appearance to ask Tomoe for assist when attacked by Akura-Ou. However, Tomoe does not run into the optics of Yukiji during the fourth dimension that he spends with her, because Yukiji feared that he would know that she was not Nanami after looking into her optics. She used his protection in order to save the next generation of her and her husband's bloodline. At one time she became extremely sick, so Tomoe went and carved out the Dragon King's center to cure her. Since then, the middle resides within the host until they have a child, hence everyone who is Nanami's direct ancestor is a woman. As long as they middle resides within them, they are protected from any sickness and equally such all of them are blessed with dazzler. All the same, the moment they take a child, which is always a daughter, the eye passes to the child and they become susceptible to affliction.
- Kotarou Urashima ( 裏嶋 小太郎 , Urashima Kotarou )

- A young human boy and Himemiko's love involvement. Himemiko requested Nanami to help her to notice a way to meet him once again. Kotarou was shy around Himemiko when he first met her simply, later getting to know her, grew fond of her and somewhen roughshod in love with her. Later discovering Himemiko was a yokai, Kotarou rejected her for lying to him about her true identity. Afterwards clearing his thoughts and some persuasion from the Dragon King, he interrupted Himemiko's spousal relationship to Nishiki, and Himemiko's true grade emerges while they are escaping. Kotarou shows an tickled expression (and nigh lost his breath, as they were underwater) earlier telling Himemiko that he accepts her no matter what her advent was.

- Nanami's female parent. Kumimi had died from an unknown disease and left her simply daughter Nanami to be responsible for the firm-hold, plus her husband (which is Nanami'southward begetter) of keeping him in check.

- A female goddess who is often seen sleeping, equally the Fumigae Gods complained that she should have not slept throughout the year if she had known that she would slumber her way through the Izumo gods coming together.

Written and illustrated past Julietta Suzuki, Kamisama Kiss has been serialized in the semi-monthly shōjo manga magazine Hana to Yume since February 20, 2008. The nerveless chapters were later republished in tankōbon volumes by Hakusensha with the first volume released on September 19, 2008.[half dozen] North American publisher Viz Media licensed the English language language distributions rights at the 2009 New York Anime Festival.[7] The series concluded on May 20, 2016.[8]

Anime [edit]
An anime television series adaptation of Kamisama Buss was produced by TMS Amusement and directed by Akitaro Daichi. Information technology ran from October 1, 2012, to December 24, 2012, on Goggle box Tokyo.[57] The anime has been licensed for streaming past Funimation Amusement.[58] The series ended at around the 30th affiliate of the manga volume. The opening theme is "Kamisama Hajimemashita" ( 神様はじめました , lit. "Nice to Meet You, God") and the ending theme "Kamisama Onegai" ( 神様お願 , lit. "Delight, God"), both performed by Hanae. There are two OVA episodes, which first aired on August 26, 2013, bundled with the 16th book of the manga. One of the included episodes is based on the story from the 15th book, while the other contains an all-new original story. The 17th result of Hakusensha'south Hana to Yume mag appear in August 2014 that the manga series inspired a second anime season, which began airing on January 5, 2015. The opening theme is "Kamisama no Kamisama" ( 神様の神様 , lit. "God of God") and the catastrophe theme "Ototoi Oide" ( おとといおいで , lit. "Come Another Day"), both once again performed by Hanae. A four-part original animation DVD (OAD) known as "Kako-hen" ( 過去篇 , lit. "Past Arc") began ambulation on Baronial 20, 2015, and is based on the "past arc" of the series, spanning from the 14th through 17th volumes of the manga serial. The story follows Nanami as she goes back in time to find a cure for Tomoe's curse which he had placed on himself so he could get homo and live out his life with Yukiji. A new OAD, previously announced as Kamisama, Kekkon Zenya, released as Kamisama, Shiawase ni Naru was bundled with the Kamisama Hajimemashita 25.5 official fanbook on Dec 20, 2016.[59] [lx]

A stage musical accommodation titled Kamisama Hajimemashita: The Musical ran from March 21 to March 29, 2015 in Japan.[61] The musical stars Saki Terashima
equally Nanami, Ren Yagami as Tomoe, Keisuke Minami as Kurama, and Shōta Takazaki as Mizuki.[61] Boosted cast members include Mao Katō as Onikiri, Keita Tokushiro and Hiroki Takaoka double-bandage as Kotetsu, and Juria Kawakami equally Narukami.[62] Akira Ishida made a cameo reprising his function as Mikage in vocalism.[63] The musical had a re-run in 2016, with Yūta Higuchi re-bandage as Mizuki, LinQ fellow member Yūmi Takaki re-cast as Kotetsu, and Makoto Okunaka re-bandage every bit Narukami.[64]Reception [edit]
